Major Taylor III is a social media specialist, photographer and graphic designer living in Detroit, Michigan. Born and raised in Detroit, he graduated from Cass Technical High School.

Major received his degree from the University of Michigan in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from the School of Kinesiology.

Throughout his career, Major has worked for the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, University of Michigan Athletic Department and the Big Ten Network - managing the social media strategy and platforms for both the Lions and Pistons. While with each organization, Major has taken photos; created graphics, animations and videos; and developed social posts that has been/ is seen by millions of online users daily.

Currently the Social Media Manager for the Detroit Lions, Major has five plus years of experience managing digital content and strategy for large brands. He has a demonstrated history of hiring, training and managing digital staff. Proficient in statistical analysis, brand management, relationship building, targeted communication and customer service.

 

Major primarily works with a Canon T6i (Lens: Sigma 35mm F1.4 ART DG HSM Lens and Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 IF EX DG HSM AF Standard Zoom Lens) and the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
